7504-K self-drilling screw

. The 7504-K self-drilling screw has been specially designed for steel-tosteel and wood-to-steel connections and drills and shapes its core hole and counter thread directly in the material itself. This means you won’t need to waste time and effort on pre-drilling or selecting the appropriate borehole diameter. The specially designed drill-tip geometry ensures that the screw will not slip off the component surface and allows for fast, recise centre-drilling – it is no longer necessary to punch-mark the drilling position.

The 7504-K self-drilling screw thus represents a time-saving alternative to conventional self-tapping sheet-metal screws and can be easily crewed in with a standard spanner or “nut”.

Applications/Specifications

• For sheet-metal thicknesses of up to 6 mm
• For fastening sheet metals, e.g. trapezoidal sheet metals
• Limited corrosion resistance and suitable for use classes 1 and 2 in accordance with DIN EN 1995 (Eurocode 5)
• Unsuitable for tannin-containing timbers

Material

• Hardened carbon steel + galvanised blue
• Chromium(VI) oxide free
• Good resistance to mechanical stress

On request and above a minimum order quantity, the colour caps can also be supplied in any RAL colour.
